Leaders
Great schools are led by great principals. New Leaders is a national non-profit that ensures high academic achievement for every student by attracting and preparing outstanding leaders and supporting the performance of the urban public schools they lead. New Leaders currently has over 700 leaders serving over 250,000 students across the nation.
New Leaders receive unique preparation to enter the urban principalship. At no cost to them, we provide more than $100,000 in coursework, instruction and support. The first year includes rigorous coursework delivered by nationally recognized experts, a full-time residency with a strong mentor principal, and intensive coaching from successful veteran principals. At the end of the year, we help place New Leaders in urban public schools and provide ongoing support, networking, and a lifelong community of peers.
