SPONSORSHIP OPPORTUNITIES

Companies, foundations or individuals that want to invest in an effective model for improving educational leadership in public schools can sponsor our Leadership Development Training Networks for district administrators, principals and teacher leaders. Networks are professional learning communities where leaders regularly convene to share best practices and draw on research-based expertise. With reciprocal support and accountability from their peers and PartnersSI staff, leaders return to their schools and continually apply, improve and monitor the impact of their new skills and knowledge on teacher practice and student learning.

School Sponsors invest in the dramatic turnaround of one high-need Bay Area elementary school serving roughly 500 students. This investment is leveraged by a similar level of contribution from the school itself making you a true partner to the school and its transformation. In one year, a well-supported school can double or triple the number of students reading at grade level. As a School Sponsor, you will have opportunities for volunteers or interested staff to visit and learn about systemic urban education reform through the eyes of school and Partners in School Innovation staff.

By sponsoring a School Innovation Partner (SIP), you can provide one high-need Bay Area elementary school with a results-oriented change agent whose proven effectiveness as a former teacher or leader helps build the school's capabilities to accelerate student learning. Your investment also goes toward the SIP's career development and building the pipeline for innovative leadership in public education. Upon working with us, SIPs become uniquely prepared to become teacher leaders and administrators or pursue other positions of leadership in education reform. As a SIP Sponsor, you will gain insight into your SIP's work at the school through regular communication from him/her and the opportunity to see the work in action.

Studies show that students with effective teachers for three years in a row will see a 50% increase in test scores. Your one-year investment will provide critical resources to enable us to work with a grade level of teachers and equip them with the skills, tools and structures to engage in substantive teamwork and become stronger instructors.
