PartnersSI Launches Leadership Development
Initiative
On December 7, Partners in School Innovation, San Francisco Unified
School District, the San Francisco School Alliance and UC Berkeley's
Principal Leadership Institute officially announced the launch
of the Leadership Initiative focused on recruiting, preparing,
supporting and retaining world-class leaders for San Francisco's
100+ public schoools.
The need for this initiative is clear: if current trends continue,
SFUSD will lose over 30% of its principals and assistant principals
over the next five years through retirement and attrition. Said
Gwen Chan, Interim Superintendent of San Francisco Unified School
District, "Great leaders will help ensure that all of our students
graduate from high school poised for success." Read
