Our Approach

Continuous School Improvement

Our signature services to schools and districts offer a comprehensive and sustainable approach to school improvement by impacting the fundamental levers—teaching and leadership—that accelerate student learning. We offer three integrated services to transform low-performing schools and improve student learning:

Intensive Implementation Sites: PartnersSI provides intensive implementation support to a subset of low-performing schools in each of our partner districts. Our staff is onsite four days a week to collaborate with and coach teachers, teacher leaders and principals to implement the Results-Oriented Cycle of Inquiry (ROCI) and establish the systems for sustainable and dramatic change. Our intensive implementation schools serve as sites where our staff—in partnership with principals, coaches and teachers—translates our theory of change into practice to improve our schools.

Leadership Development Networks: Leadership Networks enable PartnersSI to work across a broader group of schools than we are able to reach through our intensive implementation support. We work with key school and district leaders from all of the low-performing schools in our districts to enable them to develop the skills, tools and knowledge to lead their own schools through ROCI. Through the Networks, PartnersSI also facilitates cross-school problem solving around the practical implementation challenges faced by school and district leaders.

District Leadership Coaching: PartnersSI works in partnership with district leaders, coaching them to become bold, results-oriented leaders and to create the conditions necessary for their schools to sustain a continuous improvement effort that results in a dramatic closing of the achievement gap. PartnersSI is able to share with district leaders expertise developed from over fourteen years of experience implementing a continuous improvement process to transform low-performing schools.
