Amanda Faulkner comes to Partners in School Innovation with ten years of teaching and leadership experience in public schools. She received her B.A. in English literature from Southwestern University in Georgetown, Texas and then spent two years working as a Special Education teacher in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Then Amanda moved to New Orleans, Louisiana and began teaching 5th grade English language arts at KIPP Central City Academy (KCCA). In her seven years at KCCA, Amanda served as a mentor teacher, ELA curriculum specialist, grade level chair, and spent two years serving as assistant principal and academic coach. While at KCCA, Amanda also earned an M.A in Teaching from Relay Graduate School of Education.
Amanda recently moved to the Bay Area and is excited for the opportunity to work with Partners to help support high quality instruction for all students. When she is not working, you can find Amanda exploring her local library or scouting out the best local coffee shop.
