Heather Clary-Wheeler, Ed.D.
Heather Clary-Wheeler joins Partners as a successful and dynamic education leader. During her 18 years as a classroom teacher, instructional coach, and site administrator, she worked to ensure that the door to education was open for every student, especially historically underserved students.
As a classroom teacher, Heather created real-world programs with embedded experiences that fostered college- and career-readiness. As a site administrator, she designed whole-school professional learning plans to support restorative justice implementation, as well as the formation of professional learning communities paired with school-wide systems of support for all students.
Heather holds a B.A. in psychology from Sonoma State University, a Single-Subject clear CLAD English credential, a master’s in education from National University, and an Administrative Credential from California State University, Fresno. Additionally, she earned her doctorate in social justice educational leadership from San Francisco State University. Her dissertation was titled Incorporating Successful Black and Latino Student Voice in Suburban Schools: White School Principals as Anti-Racist Leaders.
All of her work towards educational equity would not be possible without the support of her family, including her husband, two human children, and two furry children.
