Jessica comes to Partners in School Innovation with 17 years of teaching and leadership experience in Bay Area public schools. A former math teacher at Arroyo High School in San Lorenzo and Leadership High School in San Francisco, Jessica deepened her interest in the effects of school systems on student success as Dean of Students at LHS. While at LHS, she experienced the impact that adult communities committed to learning and growing together as professionals could have on improved student achievement. This prompted her move to the National Equity Project where she coached individual teachers and leaders in equity centered inquiry to improve instruction and led the development and facilitation of leadership and mentoring seminars. Jessica is excited to join the Partners team working to support San Francisco teachers and leaders to provide the best for their students.
“It is from numberless diverse acts of courage and belief that human history is shaped. Each time a man stands up for an ideal, or acts to improve the lot of others, or strikes out against injustice, he sends forth a tiny ripple of hope, and crossing each other from a million different centers of energy and daring those ripples build a current which can sweep down the mightiest walls of oppression and resistance.” ― Robert F. Kennedy
