Thomas earned his B.A. in philosophy from Columbia University and went on to teach special education math in Tulsa, Oklahoma as a Teach For America Corps Member.
Before joining Partners, Thomas co-founded Summit Tamalpais in Richmond, California, where he served as a history teacher, instructional coach, grade level team lead, and leadership team member. His research and practice at Tam focused on culturally responsive teaching and leadership, restorative justice, and equity-focused improvement science. Most importantly, Thomas is deeply grateful and humbled to have spent five years in community with the founding class, who have inspired and motivated his own growth and learning.
Outside of work, Thomas enjoys playing volleyball, lifting weights, and rising early to write.
